Avaada Launches Green Hydrogen Project in Odisha

Avaada Group announced the groundbreaking of its green hydrogen project in Gopalpur, Odisha. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and various stakeholders.

The project is expected to create approximately 1,600 direct and 4,000 indirect employment opportunities. Avaada Group is making significant investments to establish a green hydrogen ecosystem in Odisha.

The green ammonia storage facility at Gopalpur will support the export of green hydrogen, contributing to global net-zero goals for hard-to-abate sectors like steel, cement, and petrochemicals.

The initiative aims to produce green ammonia using renewable energy sources without harmful environmental impacts.

Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, highlighted the importance of green ammonia as a clean and renewable alternative for various sectors.

Avaada Group is engaged in solar module manufacturing, renewable power generation, and the development of green hydrogen, green methanol, green ammonia, and sustainable aviation fuel projects.

Avaada Energy, its renewable power generation arm, aims to achieve an installed capacity of 11 GW by 2026.
